Pistol Range Improvements have been completed
Our improvement project of raising and expanding the 25 yard back stop and putting in a 15′ wide hard path between the 25 yard shelter and back stop has been completed. Hull Excavating, our contractor for the project, did a great job as this project turned out very well.
All should appreciate the rolled blacktop millings surface that was put down. It not only provides a dry path to the target area, but allows for an easier surface to pick up your brass. We have also seeded the backstop to help control erosion. We intend to re-install additional “gong targets” on the left side of the expanded back stop as soon as some volunteers step forward to take on the task. Please enjoy the improvements and remember to clean up after yourself.
New Wireless Trap Release System
The new wireless trap release system that was purchased with help of an NRA grant has been installed. It has proven more reliable and has better voice response than the old system and is much easier to put up and take down.
Open Trap Shooting
Our trap ranges are open every Monday evening from 5:00 until everyone is done. This is open to all members and member guests. If you have never shot trap or even if you do not own a shot gun, we have club guns available and members willing to help. We even have 20 gauge loaner guns if you have youth that want to try it.
